Auto Dealership

Originally built in 1924, this building was once known as the New Central Motor Company, an automotive dealership that featured many brands typical of the time. When the Great Depression put the original company out of business, the building sat empty for many years until it reopened as the Goodwin Williams Chevrolet dealership in 1935.

Body Shop

In 1961, the building was purchased by new owners and re-opened as the West Salem Body Shop. It operated for 30+ years, powered by car grease and squeaky wheels. The building’s legacy as a location for automobiles brought with it some unique quirks—including historic car elevators and mechanical equipment that has been fixed in place.

Boutique Hotel

After the body shop closed in the late 90s, the building sat in disrepair for many years until we purchased it in 2017. We began the historic rehabilitation process that transformed the building into what it is today. Inside, you’ll find that we’ve retained as much of the historic fabric of the building as possible, with original pine floors, wood beans and paneling, and more.
